Biography
Mahmoud Helmi Attia is the Principal Research Officer, Manager of Advanced Material Removal Processes at the National Research Council Cana-
da, andAdjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University. He is a Fellow of CIRP (College International pour la Recherche en Produc-
tique), Fellow of SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) and Fellow of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). He is the Recipient of
‘Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal’ (2013) and the ‘ASME Blackall Machine Tools and GageAward’ (1989). He is the Editorial Board Member
of number of international journals. He has authored/co-authored 250 papers in archival journals and refereed conference proceedings.
