Social Media

Social media is an interactive computer technology that communicates through the process of composing or sharing information, ideas, work interests and other means of communicating through virtual communities and networks. The variety of personal and built-in communication services currently presents translation challenges; however, there are some common features: Users often access social media services through web-based applications on computers and laptops, or download services that provide social media functionality on their mobile devices (e.g., smartphones and tablets). As users interact with these electronic resources, they create highly interactive platforms where individuals, communities and organizations can share, create, discuss, participate and modify user-generated content or customized content posted online. Social media networks are changing the way groups of people communicate and interact or vote.
