Hypervitaminosis

 

Hypervitaminosis is an abnormal clinical condition developed due to intake of excessive amounts (self-prescribed, usually from supplements) of one or more vitamins, especially over a long period results in toxic effects. Serious effects may result from overdoses of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, or K, but adverse reactions are less common with the water-soluble B and C vitamins. In fat soluble vitamins it is more common with the vitamin A, vitamin D in comparison to vitamin E and k.
