Vitiligo can be diagnosed by using physical examination. Blood test, thyroid test, skin biopsy. Vitiligo is of two types they are
a. Localised: They are defined as one or more lesions present on skin in one area.
Eg: focal Vitiligo, Vitiligo universalis.
b. Generalised: They are defined as several skin lesions in several areas.
Eg: Acrofacial Vitiligo, Vitiligo vulgaris, Vitiligo universalis.
The above mentioned types are diagnosed by physical examination and skin biopsy.
