Research advances in Obesity
NIH granted clinical trials and studies provided information regarding causes and factors responsible of being overweight. Metabolic Clinical Research unit (MCRU) conducted studies and discovered genes responsible for obesity in adults and children. It also studied medication in obese children. It is focusing on prevention and treatment of obesity.
