Ectopic pregnancy

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a foetus develops outside the womb, typically in a fallopian tube. However they can occur in other places other such as ovary, cervix and abdominal cavity. The causes include birth defects in fallopian tubes, endometriosis, surgery of the female organs, etc. The symptoms include abnormal vaginal bleeding, no periods, pain in the pelvic belly or pelvic area, etc.
