COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT

Cognitive impairment illustrates any characteristic that acts as a barrier to the cognition process. Any deficit in global intellectual performance, mental retardation, cognitive abilities, learning disorders and dyslexia. Cognitive deficits may be congenital or caused by environmental factors such as brain injuries, neurological disorders, or mental illness.
