Chromatography is an analytical technique commonly used for separating the components, of a mixture in view of the relative amounts of each solute circulated between a moving fluid stream, called the Mobile Phase, and a Contiguous Stationary Phase, so that the individual components can be thoroughly analyzed.
The mobile phase might be either a fluid or a gas, while the stationary phase is either a solid or a fluid. There are numerous types of chromatography e.g., liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, ion-Exchange chromatography and affinity chromatography.
