Abstract

This presentation will involve some research topics that have been personally explored in the Mechatronics fields, which includes Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering and other disciplines. The different disciplines have been explored due to either problems that have to be solved (low cost solutions), or due to them being required for the mechatronics integration. Disciplines that will be briefly touched on to explain their involvement in low cost mechatronic solutions are prosthetics, aviation, ballistics, accident investigation, amateur radio communication, to name a few. A career in the field of mechatronics therefore requires a person to have a broad knowledge and understanding, with an interest to learn new things, to be able to solve many problems as seen in this presentation.
