Abstract

Artificial Intelligence will overtake humans. AI-driven Cognitive Chatbots, bots, and robots will progressively replace humans in many fields. The question remains how and when? Cognitive NLP/NLU Chatbots have the potential to organize a corporation and trigger bots and robots. AI-driven Automated Planning Systems (bots) can control workstations in factories, run warehouse loading and unloading functions, product deliveries with self-driving vehicles and more. This supply chain management (SCM) AI approach can already be implemented on site with the right machine learning software and process organization. An AI APS connected to the delivery IoT sensors, Automatic guided vehicles (AGV), and SDC’s (Self Driving Car) or self-driving vehicles show the revolutions ahead. Managers will need to reconsider their strategies, organization, and processes. The technology is there, but innovation investment inertia and a lack of resources can slow the movement down. The artificial intelligence era has begun with insufficient human resources. Training takes time. To counter this problem, the main AI players such as Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services and others have created ready-to-use machine learning algorithms. These nascent services require experts to configure data integration and hyper-parameters. The only way to move ahead consists in organizing quick AI wins to show investors and customers that the technology works in a corporate environment beyond theoretical models.
