Biography

Dr. Claudio de Lucia took his degree in Medicine at the University of Naples "Federico II", discussing a thesis entitled: "Role of physical activity on the prognosis of elderly patients with ischemic heart failure that underwent coronary surgery". Currently, Dr. de Lucia is Post-doctoral fellow in the Center for Translational Medicine, Temple University, School of Medicine, Philadelphia, under the mentorship of Dr. W. J. Koch working on heart failure pathophysiology.

Research Interest

Heart failure and cardiovascular diseases. The role of G-Protein Coupled Receptors and G-Protein Coupled Receptor Kinases in the pathogenesis of heart failure and tumors. Muscarinic receptors in cardiovascular diseases. Geriatric Medicine. Aging. Frailty. Sympathetic nervous system.
