Biography

Chadov Boris Fedorovich is a Senior Researcher in Genetics, Leader of the Research Group of the Laboratory of Mechanisms of Cell Differentiation, Institute of Cytology and Genetics (IC&G), Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk), doctor of biological sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, graduated from the Voronezh State Medical Institute in 1964. His genetic education he obtained at the Laboratory of N.V. Timofeev-Resovsky at the Institute of Medical Radiology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (Obninsk). He defended the theses of his candidate of science degree < Nonhomologous chromosome pairing in oogenesis of Drosophila> in 1971. He has been working at the IC&G of the Russian Academy of Science (Novosibirsk) from 1976. From 1981 to 2011, he is head of the laboratory at the IC&G. He defended his doctoral theses in 1982. He is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences from 1999 and a full member of this Academy from 2001.

Research Interest

Experimental genetics in Drosophila, mutagenesis, cell division( meiosis and mitosis), genetic mechanisms of evolution and individual development, metaphysics of living matter.
