Biography
I received my PhD in 2008 from the Department of Animal Sciences, University of Hyderabad, India. I am currently an Instructor at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Peoria, working in the Program of Cancer Biology. My academic and research training have provided me with a comprehensive and diverse background in a wide variety of scientific disciplines including immunology, molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, biophysics, and cancer biology. My research is focused on the use of molecular targeted therapy in combination with reduced radiation dose and chemotherapy as a mode of treatment for variety of cancers including brain (medulloblastoma and glioblastoma), pancreatic and prostate cancers. I have published several papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals including Neuro Oncology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Cancer Research, Molecular Biology of Cell, PLoS one, Molecular Cancer Research, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, Oncotarget, Translational Oncology, Infection and Immunity and Oncogene and have presented my work in several national and international conferences.
