Dr. Ram Kewal Shah has been in the coveted service as Professor and Head of Department of Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery since Feb 1999 and has been a recipient of many awards and grants. Currently, he is working as an Professor Nepal Medical College, Jorpati, Kathmandu. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries in diversified fields of study.  His/Her research interests as a Professor reflect in his/her a wide range of publications in various national and international journals.  He also work voluntarily for the AO Alliance Foundation as regional director for Asia with main objective of improving musculoskeletal care in the least developed countries (LLDCs) and is also involved in postgraduate education in Nepal and abroad as examiner and thesis evaluator.

My main area of research is delayed presentation of musculoskeletal trauma in the LLDCs.
