She has completed B. Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D from Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi. Important positions held: Head, Department of Pharmacy,M.S.M Institute of Technology (Board of Technical Education),New Delhi 1984-85 and served as Deputy Director “A.I.C.T.E”(1995-1998).Honours, awards and achievements:Received, P.G Research,Award (UGC), 2002, Best Project Award (DST), 2003, UGC & AICTE research grants and, FIP Congress Travel Grant of 2500 Euros by the Honorable Jury of 69 th International Congress of FIP (International Pharmaceutical Federation), which was held at Istanbul, (Turkey), 2009. Member of Scientific Services Committee, Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held on 17-19th December, 2010Professional affiliations/memberships: Life member of I.P.A,I.P.G.A., A.P.T.I., Indian Society of Technical Education and Member, Academic Council, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. Research experience: Provided guidance to 38 M. Pharm students and 15 Ph.D research scholars over various innovative research areas. 

Plants have a milieu of phytochemicals that provides protection and treatment of chronic diseases. They are being extensively studied to evaluate their effects for the welfare of public. Much scientific research needs to be conducted before we can begin to make science-based recommendations and launch their formulations in market. Therefore, research is focused on development of novel drug delivery carriers of naturalproducts for their bioavailability enhancement and targeted drug delivery. Other research area includes formulation of conventional dosage forms like tablets and capsules and bioavailability enhancement of synthetic molecules
