Dr Moorthy is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the NHS with a private practice at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital.

After qualifying in 1989, Dr Moorthy completed his postgraduate training in general medicine and later went on to train in rheumatology in Manchester, Wrightington, Northampton and Leicester. During training, Dr Moorthy won a fellowship from the British Society of Rheumatology and a travel bursary from the European Rheumatology Society.
