Biography | ||
Dr Moorthy is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the NHS with a private practice at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital. After qualifying in 1989, Dr Moorthy completed his postgraduate training in general medicine and later went on to train in rheumatology in Manchester, Wrightington, Northampton and Leicester. During training, Dr Moorthy won a fellowship from the British Society of Rheumatology and a travel bursary from the European Rheumatology Society. The treatments offered by Dr Moorthy include early arthritis, lower back pain and Sciatica, neck/shoulder/wrist pain, soft tissue rheumatism, paediatric rheumatology, ultrasound examination of joints, ultrasound guided joint injections, aspirations of joints and bursa cysts, epidural injections, various joint injections, supra scapular nerve block injection, carpal tunnel injection, chronic widespread pain, gout and osteoporosis. Dr Moorthy has a special interest in early rheumatoid arthritis, children with joint pain and musculo skeletal conditions, ultrasound examination of joints, tendons & guided injections and also treats children with arthritis. |
