Biography | ||
Dr. Kamondi graduated in 1987 from Medical University of Pécs. She is a board certified specialist in neurology (1993) and in neurophysiology (2008). In 1996 she defended her PhD thesis and in 2005 habilitated at Semmelweis University. Dr. Kamondi worked at the Department of Neurology Medical University of Pécs between 1987 and 1994. Then she moved to Budapest and until 2010 she worked at the Department of Neurology of Semmelweis University. She became full professor in 2006. In May 2010 she has been appointed head of the Neurology Department of the National Institute of Neuroscience.
Between 1989 and 1999 she spent almost 5 years in various institutions in Canada and the USA performing cellular neurophysiological basic research. The object of these studies was to elucidate the neurophysiological mechanisms of sleep and wakefulness and certain memory functions. |

Since 1999 Dr. Kamondi is doing clinical research in the field of tremor using computer assisted quantitative methods. |
