Biography | ||
Dr Amit Mistri is a Consultant Stroke Physician in Leicester, UK.He is also an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Leicester, within the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences.He completed his medical training in India in 1995, from the Christian Medical College, Vellore, a tertiary referral centre in South India.Subsequently, he moved to the UK acquiring core medical trainingand specialist training in General and Geriatric Medicine. During his training, he also completed his research MD thesis exploring blood pressure management in acute stroke.He was appointed to his current post in Stroke Medicine in 2008.He is an active clinical researcher being the Principal Investigator for seven ongoing SRN-adopted clinical trials, given several local and regional talks on stroke management, and has authored several articles on the subject.
