Biography | ||
Professor Szczepura has over thirty years expertise in policy research and evaluation of the organisation and management of health care. She has published widely in the area of economic evaluation of interventions and service organisation, and has also been actively involved in the NHS R&D programme since its inception. She was previously Professor of Health Services Research in Warwick Medical School. Prior to the creation of the Medical School, she was Director of the Centre for Health Services Studies (CHESS), the largest research centre in Warwick Business School. She retains an Honorary Chair at Warwick, across the Medical School and the Institute of Digital Healthcare. She also holds an Honorary Chair in the Faculty of Health and Social Care, University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol. She has held academic posts in Oxford, the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) and as a senior scientist in Industry where she ran a number of research programmes. She sits on the NIHR Research Fellowship Panel and the Marie Curie Cancer Care Research Programme Funding Committee. |
