Abstract

This paper reviews the Indian Health care and its potential. The main purpose of this study is to understand the potential of Indian health care and its contribution to health care sector. We are also studying the contribution of Indian health care in Indian economy. The overall Indian health care market is worth around US dollars 100 billion and is expected to grow to US dollars 280 billion by 2020, a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 22.9 per cent. Health care delivery, which includes hospitals, nursing homes and diagnostics centres, and pharmaceuticals, constitutes 65 per cent of the overall market.
