Abstract

The Journals aims to flourish and to maintain the standards in research and practice, provide platform and opportunity to present evidence based medicine and analytical assessment of research and probably it is much in deed for students, teachers and health care professionals to enhance the patient care. Physiotherapy Research brings articles in different areas related to physical therapy and rehabilitation viz.cardiovascular physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy, geriatric physiotherapy and fitness training. Original manuscripts that pertain to hitherto unexplored realms ofanatomical aspects of physiotherapy, biomechanical aspects of physiotherapy, physiological aspects of physiotherapy and exercise physiology are solicited. Physiotherapy Research is an Open Access online journal, which publishes research articles, reviews, letters, case reports and guestedited single topic issues in all areas of Physiotherapy Research. This Journal ensures speedy peer review process and accepted papers are published within 2 weeks of final acceptance.

Introduction

Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning. In the year 2017 Pulmonary & Respiratory Medicine is found and growing continuously. It is our pleasure to announce that during year 2019, all issues of volume 3 were published online on time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online.

Journal of Physiotherapy Research during this year also brought out International Conference on Physiotherapy, Kinesiology and Sports Medicine, 8th Edition of International Conference & Exhibition on Pain Management, Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine and 7th World Congress on Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, which consisted of ~ 50 abstracts.

Physiotherapy Research brings articles in different areas related to physical therapy and rehabilitation viz.cardiovascular physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy, geriatric physiotherapy and fitness training. All published articles of this journal are included in the indexing and abstracting coverage of Index Copernicus, Secret Search Engine Labs, Studies receiving funding from a funding organization that is included on the list of PMC and Research Funder Policies or authors having NIH grant were submitted to PubMed.

During the calendar year 2019, IPPR received a total of 50 papers, out of which 29 articles (58%) were rejected in the preliminary screening due to plagiarism or being out of the format and peer review process. During 2019 around 18 articles were subjected for publication after they are accepted in the peer review process. In the 5 issues of Volume 3 published during the year 2019, a total of 18 articles were published (at an average of 4 articles per issue) of which, articles were published from authors all around the world. A total of 110 research scientists from all over the world reviewed the 18 articles published in volume 3. Average publication lag time of an article was further reduced to 2-3 weeks.

Physiotherapy Research also announces its new association with Imedpub group for Archiving, Journal maintenance, financial purpose and support. It increased Readership Metrics (By Google Analytics) of Oral Health and Dental Management Journal which can be accessed at Google Analytics Metrics for the Journal of Physiotherapy Research

I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Editor-in-Chief: Adnan N. Cheema (USA), and Associate Editors: Claudia Santos Oliveira (Brazil), Luís Vicente Franco de Oliveira (Brazil) during the final editing of articles published and the support rendered by the editorial assistants: Minoo Khalkhali Zavieh, Maha Mohammad and Daniel O. Odebiyi in bringing out issues of IPPR in time. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of IPPR, the office bearers for their support in bringing out yet another volume of IPPR and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 4 of IPPR in scheduled time.
