Orthodontics is the specialized field of dentistry that requires additional efficiency and the treatments involves correction of spacing’s between teeth, malocclusions and misalignments. Surgically-assisted orthodontics is used to avoid conventional orthodontic care such as root resorption, decalcification and relapse. It can be usually accomplished through the use of braces or aligners such as Invisalign. Whole new service mixes of clear aligners have opened up for general practitioners provoking orthodontics to be a fast-growing segment of adult patients. The cost of orthodontics can vary depending on the orthodontic materials used and plan the treatment challenging the accepted wisdom of the past; it offers a fresh look at orthodontic treatment, using a patient-centered paradigm for enhancing the appearance, function and health of the dentofacial features.

Palatal tori are common among Asian and Eskimo. Dr. Krishna Arora explained about oral habits which lead to anterior open bite and posterior crossbite. A. Kawaiah said that the effects, changes and corrections attained with Miniscrew-Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (MARPE) in orthodontics, dentofacial orthopedics and airway. Rapid maxillary expansion is a useful strategy in the treatment of malocclusion. It is applicable for correcting posterior crossbites (unilateral and bilateral), narrow maxillary arches, mandibular functional shift and dental crowding. Dr. Meli Chacón discussed the benefits of an early treatment of the anterior and posterior crossbite. Anterior Open Bite (AOB) is defined as the lack of incisal contact between anterior teeth in centric relation. Dr. Manuela Daian explained Open bite case treated with Invisalign.
