Abstract
Synthesis of 2-styrylchromones and cytotoxicity evaluation
A series of 2-styrylchromones 5a-h were synthesized and their cytotoxic activity was evaluated at a very low concentration against MCF-7 and MDA-237 cell lines. All compounds showed higher cytotoxic activity for both cell lines. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H and 13C NMR, LC-MS and elemental analysis.
