PREVENTION OF MOTHER TO CHILD TRANSMISSION (PMTCT)

Mother To Child Transmission (MTCT) account for about 90% of Infants and Young Children HIV infections and about 10% of HIV transmission globally.MTCT accounts for the vast majority of infections in children 0-14 Antiretroviral treatment (ART) and other interventions can reduce risk of MTCT from 45% to below 5%.
