A roving survey was conducted in six taluks of Bagalkot districts during 2018-19 for the per cent disease incidence of cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and aphids ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâââ¬Â°ÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâýÃÆââ¬Â Ãâââ¬Â°ÃÆââ¬Â ÃâõÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâïÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâââ¬Å¡ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâà ¸ÃÆââ¬Â¦Ãâýn in top three leaves. In the CMV infected plants, yellow to dark green mÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâýÃÆââ¬Â ÃâéÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâïÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâÃÂnÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâÃÂÃÆÃÂÃâââ¬Â¢ crackling and downward curling were typical symptoms. This virus is ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâà ¡ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâà âÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâââ¬Å¡nÃÆââ¬Â ÃâÃÂmÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâÃÂÃÆââ¬Â ÃâéÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâà ¾ÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâà ¡ by aphids in a nonpersistent manner. During survey it was observed that, the disease incidence ranged from 13-66%. Highest mean incidence of disease was nÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâýÃÆââ¬Â Ãâà ¸cÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâà ¾ÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâà ¡ in Badami taluk (49.58%) whereas disease incidence lowest in Jamakhandi taluk (29.50%). More number of aphids ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâââ¬Â°ÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâýÃÆââ¬Â Ãâââ¬Â°ÃÆââ¬Â ÃâõÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâïÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâââ¬Å¡ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâà ¸ÃÆââ¬Â¦Ãâýn was observed in Badami (18.10) and least ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâââ¬Â°ÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâýÃÆââ¬Â Ãâââ¬Â°ÃÆââ¬Â ÃâõÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâïÃÆââ¬Å¾Ãâââ¬Å¡ÃÆââ¬Â Ãâà ¸ÃÆââ¬Â¦Ãâýn in Jamakhandi (10.75).
