Newborn Feeding Practices in the Rural Population of North India

WHO recommends initiation of breastfeeding within the first hour after birth and exclusive breastfeeding? Delayed initiation of breastfeeding was found to be associated with increased mortality among newborns. Objectives: To assess the newborn feeding practices of mothers and to assess the knowledge of mothers on breastfeeding.
