Mucormycosis is an opportunistic fulminating fungal infection caused by rhizopus species; frequently in immune compromised patients.39%of total mucormycosis is in the sinonasal form.Through its angioinvasive property it invades the nasal mucosa, blood vessels, sinuses and spreads intracranially. Presenting here is a case series if 15 patients in period from June 2018- June2019 with mucormycosis. The clinical stages, detailed evaluation and early diagnosis are the crux of the management of mucor. Surgical debridement with potent antifungal (amphotericin) remains the foundation of the treatment. It is important for the otorhinolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon to be familiar with this aggressive infection, which carries high mortality and morbidity. The appropriate and timely diagnosis and treatment can improve prognosis and patient survival.
