1. Editorial

British Biomedical Bulletin is the biomedical and medical technology journal that focuses on the research prospectus of the medical field. I am pleased to mention that during the year 2020, all issues of volume 8 were published online well within the time.

The impact factor of BBB for the year 2020 was 0.45. All published articles of this journal are included in the indexing and abstracting coverage of Index Copernicus, Google Scholar, Genamics Journal Seek, Academic Keys, ResearchBible, The Global Impact Factor (GIF), International Society of Universal Research in Sciences, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), CiteFactor, Open Academic Journals Index (OAJI), Directory of Research Journal Indexing (DRJI), Scientific Journal Impact Factor, Jour Informatics, International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), CiteSeerx, Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research, and Secret Search Engine Labs.

During the calendar year 2020, British Biomedical Bulletin received a total of 23 papers, out of which 14 articles were rejected in the preliminary screening due to plagiarism or being out of the format and peer review process. During 2020 around 21 articles were subjected for publication after they are accepted in the peer review process. In the 3 issues of Volume 9 published during the year 2020,14 articles were published of which, articles were published from authors all around the world. A total of 70 research scientists from all over the world reviewed the articles published in volume 8. Average publication lag time of an article was further reduced to 2-3 weeks.

During the calendar year 2020, a total of 15 Editors, 5 Reviewers joined the board of BBB and contributed their invaluable services towards contribution as well as the publication of articles.

I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Stephen Robert Kovac during the final editing of articles published and the support rendered by the editorial assistant, Isabella in bringing out issues of BBB in time. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of BBB, the office bearers for their support in bringing out yet another volume of BBB and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 9 of BBB in scheduled time.

Once again, we would like to use this open door to thank you for the exertion and aptitude that you add to exploring, without which it is difficult to maintain the high standards of peer-reviewed journals.
