Acoustic behavior of cinnamaldehyde in polar and non-polar liquids at 298K
The ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity at 298K have been measured in the binary systems of Cinnamaldehyde
with acetone and 1, 4-Dioxane. From the experimental data, various acoustical parameters such as adiabatic
compressibility (ÃÆà ½Ãâòa), intermolecular free length (Lf), free volume (Vf) and internal pressure (ÃÆÃÂÃâââ¬Âºi) were calculated. It
has been observed that, weak dispersive type intermolecular interactions are confirmed in the systems investigated.
Dipole inducement is found to be more predominant in acetone system. The results are interpreted in terms of
molecular interaction between the components of the mixtures. Author(s): G. R. Bedare, V. D. Bhandakkar and B. M. Suryavanshi Abstract |
