A Preliminary Overview of Artificial Neural Network: A Computational Model inspired from Human Nervous System

During the past years, there was a vital renovation in unruly technologies such as health care, bioinformatics, medicine, pharmaceutical applications etc. In the previous decades significant studies in the vicinity of Artificial Intelligence (AI) were urbanized and it became a prominent feat among several domains. Neural networks (NNs) are one of the key concepts in artificial intelligence domain which is inspired from the preliminary functionality of human nervous system. Since from its initiation, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) became popular and also plays a key role in enhancing the latest technology and so many researches were developed using ANN. The usage level of ANN in different application domains is growing day by day. Now-a-days researchers as well as practitioners illustrated their interest to develop advanced things using NN in various standard higher application areas such as cancer therapy, medical diagnosis etc. Apart from these domains, NNs were also used in health care like diabetes diagnosis etc. In this article, a general overview of ANN, an inspiration from human nervous system is depicted. The main aim of this article is to inspire researchers as well as practitioners to innovate novel things using ANN in the applications of biomedical and healthcare.
