Vitamins are required in minute amounts as micro nutrients in the body. They are in two groups as water-soluble (B-complex vitamins and C vitamins) and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K). Fat soluble vitamins are stored in liver and adipose tissues. Water soluble are replaced in the body. Fat soluble vitamins are eliminated slowly than water soluble vitamins.
