Archives of Clinical Microbiology (ISSN: 1989-8436) is a new peer reviewed, hybrid (open access and under subscription) international journal, with world famous scientists on the editorial board. With rapid publication of articles in all fields and areas of microbiology and infectious diseases.
Archives of Clinical Microbiology is entering its forth year and it has been recently indexed in SCOPUS and also it has been included in the National Library of Medicine (NLM) Catalog (an initial step to be indexed in PubMed). In addition it is indexed in EBSCO, DeepDyve, Open J Gate, Google Scholar, Open Archives Harvester, HINARI, JournalSeek and Index Copernicus Master List 2012 (ICV score 6.53 points).
Call for papers: Invitation to publish Original Research, Review, Short Report, Commentary or Case Report articles
Call for papers: Special Topic Issue "Antibiotic resistance in pathogenic bacteria"
This issue aims to disseminate investigations on:
1- Beta-lactams resistance, due to ESBL and cephalosporinase production as well as enzymatic carbapenem resistance, in Enterobacteriaceae is of major interest. However, resistance to others antibiotic families used in the treatment of human or animal infections is also interesting, especially that co-resistance or multidrug resistance is a specific trait of nosocomial strains (as well as infections in community). A specific interest will be also for plasmid mediated quinolones resistance and aminoside resistance in Enterobacteriaceae.
2- Methicillin resistance in Staphylococcus aureus. In this point we can highlight the importance to phenotypic detection of methicillin resistance in laboratories, and the alternative molecular methods that can be used. In second point in this subject, is the genetic support of methicillin resistance and the various structures of staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec (SCCmec).
3- Glycopeptides resistance in Enterococcus : phenotypes, genotypes and clonal spread in the world.
4- Resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis
5- Antibiotic resistance in intracellular bacteria such as Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Chlamidia genitalium…
6- The ecology of antibiotic resistance : a review about ways of dissemination of antibiotic-resistance between animal, human, and environment ; this means the tracability of genes encoding antibiotic resistance as well as clonal spread of specific clones that are actually described worldwide such as CC17 (vancomycin resistant E. faecium clone) in Enterococcus and ST131 (CTX-M-15 producer clone) in enterobacteria.
